What Happens During a Wedding Trial? Wedding Trials and Consultations for brides are optional but highly recommended. Trials allow us to have a “practice run,” so we can both see what the desired look is for the wedding day. Trials also give us a chance to get to know one another; makeup artistry is a very personal art and it is important to be on the same page.
Trials can be done on location if located centrally in Downtown, Toronto in Yorkville area
Bridal Makeup trials run up to 1.5 hours and 2 hours for Makeup and Hair trials. This may seem like a long period of time, but it is best not to rush your trial and allow for alterations and changes to be made. After all, the look has to be perfect! Don’t forget to review our Makeup+Hair Preparation page here
What Happens on My Wedding Day? On your special day, I will come to you! Sit back, Relax, and Enjoy your wedding preparations in the comfort of your home or hotel room! Your MakeupLady brings everything to complete your hair and makeup looks.
How Do I Prepare For Your Arrival? The only thing you need to prepare is an area for us to set up. This includes great lighting, bar stool, a table close to a power outlet and any hair pieces you would like added to your hair style.
For those getting hair and makeup services, please have your face makeup free and lightly moisturized. Your hair should be washed and air dried the night before unless otherwise discussed.
Are Bridal Touch-Up Kits Available? Yes, and they include everything needed to keep you fresh throughout the day (powder, lipstick, gloss, etc.) Kits Start at $40.
Do You Have an Assistant? For groups up to 6, no additional assistance is required unless there are time constraints. If additional assistance is required due to time constraints outside the control of the artist or large wedding parties, an additional assistant fee may apply.
Additional Fees? An early morning fee of $50, per artist, is incurred for every half hour prior to 6:30 AM.
If a second or third artist is requested to shorten the time frame to get ready, an assistant fee will apply.
Bookings: The months of May to November are considered Prime Wedding Season, and I suggest that you book your wedding date at least Six months prior – the earlier the better to avoid disappointment.
During Prime Wedding Season, a minimum amount of services or clients is required. I may be able to accommodate smaller bookings if scheduling permits. Some flexibility during other times of the year for minor services may be permitted, but are also subject to availability.
In order to reserve your desired date and time, a signed contract and deposit are required. Contracts can be signed in person or online and deposits can be placed via Credit Card, EMT, or Cash.

Hourly, half and full day packages are available for the bride that would like to have the comfort and ease of having a Makeup/Hair Artist and hand for post-ceremony/pre-picture touch-ups or reception makeup/changes. There is also the option of a return visit; where I return at a later time four touch-ups or look changed for hair and makeup. This is a very popular option for a bride that might want a different evening makeup or hairstyle.
